General Information

During the autumn and winter months there is a problem with leaf fall causing lack of adhesion for trains. To combat this there are a set of workings called Rail Head Treatment Trains, RHTT for short. These trains use a combination of water jets and a sticky paste, known as Sandite, to combat this problem.

This page is intended as a listing of these workings and a route description so you can work out where best to photograph them.
