New Mobile Site
We have just launched a new mobile version of this site - m.trainspots. This page will use your smart device's GPS to loctate you and guide you to locations that are close to your present location.
Location notes
This is a small station but on the main freight route.
The nearest city is K�ln.
Railway type and traffic
This place is mainly for freight, passenger trains will pass here but use the the platform. Freight used the other lines.
Environment
It is a open station with a wide view, this station will also be used by wanderers, not unsafe but sometimes it can get an unsafe/alone feeling.
Road directions
  • Continue onto A77 / E31
  • Continue onto A57.
  • Continue onto K4.
  • Take the exit toward Koln.
  • Keep left at the fork and merge onto Subbelrather Str.
  • Take the Venloer Wall to the Hans-B�ckler-Platz.

  • Parking
    There are limited options for parking, best is to park nearby K�ln Hauptbahnhof and take the train to K�ln-west.
    Public transport
    From K�ln Hauptbahnhof you can take 4 trains every hour to K�ln-West, normaly RE22 is the best option.

    Photographic notes
    This palace is good in the morning, but the best time is 13:00 till 18:00 in the summer.
    In the winter if it's cloudy or there is snow both directions are good.
