From York head north, then by-pass the A1237 turn on to the A19 for Thirsk then drive for about 2 to 3 miles until a left hand turn signed for Beningbrough, Shipton and Overton turn left drive to the sidings restaurant as you pass you will see the waste ground on left.
Anywhere as long as you do not block access to line side.
It can be reached by bus from York on the York - Thirsk service and get off at Shipton then walk down the road to Beningbrough then turn left just before the railway bridge you will see Carriages Restaurant in distance.
At Carriages Restaurant and the shops in Shipton.
There are many B&Bs in the local area and York has many places to stay to suit all pockets.
The sun can be a problem at times the best shots are of traffic coming north from York as southbound traffic shot are some what restricted.
