Road directions
From M4, Junction 17: Take the B4122 past the council depot until you get to a T-junction. Turn right here (B4069) and follow for approx 2 miles. Turn left (signed Langley Burrell), then once past the pub (The Langley Tap) turn right into Crossing Lane. Follow this until you come to the railway.
Parking
Plenty of parking right next to the former crossing. Avoid blocking the gate to the sewage works though.
Public transport
Train to Chippenham, then a local bus service. You may have to alight on the B4069 and walk around a mile, depending on route/frequency of buses.
Amenities
Langley Tap pub at end of lane, not tried it but looks pretty good. Serves food and Wadworth's beer.
Accommodation
The Langley Tap may have accommodation, otherwise B&B or Travel Inn in Chippenham.
Good for shots in either direction. Northbound better AM, southbound PM. Trains starting from Chippenham are working pretty hard against the gradient so could make good video. You may need a step or similar to get above the parapet of the bridge.
