There is a small station car park but this is often full. There are nearby roads available to park on.
Only local Arriva trains serve the station.
Trains do slow down when passing through Morpeth non-stop to around 50MPH due to the tight curve to the south of the station.
The crossing has the advantage over the station in that freight trains often pull up in the passing loop allowing passenger trains to pass by.
