Coming from an easterly direction turn off the M180 at Junction 4 and head towards the A18 westbound and follow this down to the bottom of the hill and cross the first roundabout. At the second roundabout take the third exit and follow the main road that runs parallel to the steelworks station signposted most of the way up.
From the west turn off the M180 at junction 3 and onto the M181 follow to the end until the roundabout take the third exit heading east. Station signposted all the way from there.
There is a car park at the station pay and display which is around £6 - 7 to park in.
There are buses from local towns and villages in the area and hourly train services from Doncaster or Cleethorpes.
Morning shots are best taken looking west on platform 2 as the sun is bad looking east. Both ends can be ok for shots as the sun moves round towards the south. Evening shots are best taken looking east as the sun is bad looking west.
Some freights do use the avoider behind the station and this can be irritating at night as there is no light and very difficult to see.
