You can reach this location form Amsterdam or Schiphol by train.

There is one paid toilet down stairs and two small shops where you can get coffee, or other drinks, and a few sandwiches.

There are not a lot of B&Bs or Hotels in the area. It would be better to go into Central Amsterdam, 20 minutes by train.

The best position for trains coming from Schiphol is around lunchtime from platform one where you see the Higspeed trains.
You can also take pictures of departing trains from platfrom 2
From platform 4 you can take pictures in the early morning but in the late afternoon you get a lot of lights straight in the camera from the sun.
It usually takes about 3 hours before the trains passing cycle back to the same ones you saw earlier.
