There is a bus from Oakham called the five counties. Take this to Ashwell crossroads and walk back 500 yards to the location.

There are no local amenities nearest are in Oakham.

You can only really shoot trains heading east between 13:00 and 17:00 when it is sunny. When it is cloudy all day the location is good.
If you want to walk up the field there is a west bound shot in the dull.
