The location is signposted from the A130 Hawk Hill Roundabout.

There is a small car park and you can see your car whilst on the platform.

Hourly trains operate from London Liverpool Street by First Great Eastern.

There is no station building, but about 500m down the road from the station is a pub.

You may be better standing at the Wickford end of the platform where it is at its widest. If you are going to see the daytime run of the Class 20 you can see it approaching due to the straight section. It will pass at about 50mph.

It can get extremely windy and may not go to well if your video camera has an external microphone or if your camera is pointed into the wind.
