There is no parking for the station, the actual station car park is now a car dealership. However it is possible to park on nearby road with no concerns as long as you check the road for restrictions.

Regular services from Ipswich. There is a roughly hourly service but also a bus route nearby.

There are a few shops and a chippy to the south of the station on Felixstowe Road.
There is a local model railway shop, the Ipswich Model Railway Centre on Tomline Road.

The station is on a long passing loop on the single line, freight is often moving quite slowly at this point and will often stop. However, the loco will be out of sight as the platforms are roughly in the middle of the loop.
