The bridge at Dawdon is on the A182 Dawdon Link Road which is approximately 2 miles east of the A19 road.
Travelling either north or south on the A19 take the slip road which is signposted A182 for Murton: Seaham: Dalton Park Shopping Outlet.
If travelling NORTH then you will need to turn to your right, having left the A19, to travel east. If travelling SOUTH you will turn to your left.

Although there will be local pubs that would probably do Bed and Breakfast I would suggest that this location would be best visited as part of a North East visit.
The location is an over bridge (A182 Dawdon Link Road) at the site of the former Dawdon Colliery which gives a good view in either direction, again the position of the sun can effect your position.
