Road directions
Turn off the A69 at Bridge End Roundabout, and follow the signs to Hexham. The entrance to the Tyne Green country park is signposted to the right just over the Hexham Bridge. To enter the north side follow on the road in towards Hexham, passing Tesco. Along Haugh Lane you will pass a Shell Garage, and the next right after this is Burn Lane, which gives access to the south side.
Parking
Tyne Green offers parking at a price. On the south side there are a number of parking spots but these are primarily assigned to local businesses and residents.
Public transport
Either by rail to Hexham train station, and follow the directions as above for the car, or by bus to Hexham town centre, and head down towards the Tesco, follow the directions by the car.
Amenities
Amongst the industrial sites, south of the location, are a number of sandwich shops for refreshments (I can recommend Top Nosh on the Haugh Lane Industrial Estate, opposite the John Deere dealership). Close by on the south side of the line is a Shell service station that provides sandwiches and snacks as well as fuel (although both at a premium), and relatively close by on the south side are an Aldi and a Tesco Extra, the Tesco including a restaurant. About 10-15 minutes walk will bring you into Hexham town centre, which brings a large number of shops, as well as many non-railway photographic opportunities.
Accommodation
Hexham Bed and Breakfast Accomodation
Railway Gen Group

Photographic notes
It is possible to see an eastbound signal from the crossing, so you will have a few minutes notice of trains approaching from the west.
