Road directions
From Nailsea & Backwell Railway Station:
drive to the A370 Bristol Weston Super Mare main road. Take a right at the lights and leave Backwell. Follow this road all the way to the next main set of lights at Brockley Combe. Take a right onto the road for Chelvey. After about half a mile there is a forked junction. Take the left road and proceed down this country lane. Watch out for oncoming traffic, the locals drive like they are not expecting anything to come in the opposite direction. After about a mile you will enter the village of Lower Claverham and you will pass a big farm called Claverham Court on your right. Slow down and keep your eyes peeled!. Mud Lane is the next turning on your left and as it is exactly as named... a lane and muddy...
Parking
There is parking at the end of the lane right next to the level crossing. If you do not want to risk driving up the lane then park up next to the gate on the right of the entrance to the lane (without blocking it) as close to the hedge as possible.
Amenities
No amenities for miles around. Take a packed lunch and plenty to drink.

Photographic notes
This is a location that best suits long telephoto lenses or those taking videos. You can see for absolutely miles in either direction and the track dips and hollows giving some exciting shots. The line is also on a rising gradient in the direction of Yatton. Light is great throughout the day.
