Road directions
From the A9:
To get to Aviemore from the South take to first entrance to Aviemore and follow signs for The Strathspey Railway. From the North take the first entrance and again follow the signs for The Strathspey Railway.
Parking
There is free parking spaces at The Strathspey Railway Car Park. There is also a Pay and Display Car Park beside the Police Station which is in the Town Centre.
Public transport
There is plenty trains from Glasgow Queen Street, Edinburgh and a daily GNER service from London Kings Cross and the Caledonian Sleeper from London Euston.

There are also buses from Glasgow, Edinburgh and also Inverness. They are Scottish Citylink services 957, 995, 997. There is also Highland Country Buses services 15 and 35.
Amenities
There are toilets in the station and are free of charge. The nearest chip shop is Smifys which is beside the shopping centre on the Main Street. There is also a Tescos which is also on the Main Street.
Accommodation
There are a few Bed and Breakfasts in Aviemore and there is also the Cairngorm Hotel which is across the road from the Railway station.

Photographic notes
The best place in the Station would be a set of black steps at the north end of platform 1. The footbridge is also a good location as you can get good photos of the trains arriving and departing.
