From the south:
Follow Stirling signs M74 - M73 - A80 exit A80 signed for Mollinsburn, Kirkintilloch. Turn right over the A80 into Mollinsburn follow road through village at end of village follow road round to the left, up steep hill into Annathill, follow road through village. On leaving village take first left at farm, past two houses road then starts to climb to cross railway, park at bridge.

There is parking on either side of the bridge. But park as close to the bridge as possible to allow cars to pass.

There is nothing for miles, nearest towns are Airdrie, Coatbridge or Cumbernauld.

A few farm Bed and Breakfasts locally, would recommend the Moodiesburn House Hotel (4miles).

The location is surrounded by hills so lighting does not pick up till mid morning when the sun is on the nose for south bound trains. In the late afternoon early evening the sun drops down behind the western hills but does provide some nice light on the side of trains as it sets.
