The station is situated on the B1354 just west of its junction with the A1151 from Norwich and the A1062 which links from the A149 Cromer to Great Yarmouth road.
There is car parking at the station and at the Bure Valley Railway station.
There is an hourly train service from Norwich to Cromer and Sheringham.
There are no amenities in the immediate area, especially when the Bure Valley Railway is closed. Wroxham should be about a 10-15 minute walk away.
The light is best here in the afternoon for trains heading towards Norwich. From the end of the north-bound platform you can take pictures of trains approaching passing the old signalbox, from the south-bound platform with a telephoto lense you can include the old yard as the train curves towards you.
