Road directions
From the M6 Junction 33:
Turn north onto the A1 for one junction, exiting onto the A645. At the top of the slip road, turn left (east) and into Knottingley. You cross the railway then the station is on the right. Turn right at the traffic lights immediately after, cross the railway and take the first left. This leads you past Knottingley Depot and after about 500 yards brings you to England Lane Crossing on the left.
Parking
There is space to park a car on the left by the wall immediately before the road junction.
Public transport
Knottingley has a regular train service from Leeds. Exit the station and at the main road at the top turn right. Turn right again at the traffic lights, cross the railway and take the first left past the Train Depot. Continue down this road, passing a Chip Shop on the left until you reach the Crossing.
Arriva services 145 and 148 pass the crossing and run about every 30 minutes from Wakefield and Pontefract to Knottingley.
Amenities
There are two decent Fish and Chip shops in Knottingley, one on Spawd Bone Lane, on the way from the station to the crossing, and one on the main parade of shops on the A645 near the station. There are no toilets near the crossing but there is a pub on the estate opposite.

Photographic notes
The line runs roughly east-west at this point, so the light is fine for most of the day, in the morning for trains heading towards Knottingley station, and in the afternoon for trains heading east towards Goole.
