There are 3 car parks near the station.
Newport is linked by most places in England and Wales by train. If not you will need to change at Cardiff Central, Birmingham, London or Crewe.
Bus services in Newport are operated by Stagecoach and Newport Bus. National Express and Megabus services offer alternative travel into Newport from Cardiff, London and other main cities. The railway station is a 5 minute sign posted walk from Newport bus and coach station. There is a taxi rank outside the railway station and at the bus station if in doubt about how to get there.

Very good location to photograph trains stabled in the yard opposite the station, and trains running through the station.
A new footbridge has been built across all four platforms at the south west end of the station. Images to follow. Aug 2011
