Accommodation
Accommodation is limited in Mallaig. Best to actually make a day trip to Mallaig, and to stay elsewhere, eg Fort William.
As well as the station platform, the road coming into Mallaig passes the station. So, by walking back along this road, you can get alternative shots to the ones shown here. This is useful for locomotive hauled trains. There is also a gate located left of the station. You will not be able to open the gate, but stand at the gate, and another view is available.
