Take the A9 Perth - Stirling road and turn left ( if travelling towards Stirling ) or right ( if travelling towards Perth ) onto the B934 marked 'Forteviot'. Continue along road over level crossing then take first left turn and park in the lay by 100 yards to the left.
Take farm track by lay by to the railway bridge.
Car is safe in lay by but do not take car up farm track as the farmer uses wide agricultural vehicles which can damage cars.
The line runs on a north-east to south-west axis and is straight in both directions.
The light is good until mid-afternoon from the southern side of the line.
There are no signals but the crossing gates are easily seen and give about 60 seconds warning of trains.
