You can reach Hereford on the A49 from Ross-on-Wye or Leominster, the A465 from Abergavenny, the A4103 from Worcester or the A438 from Brecon or Ledbury. These are just the major roads though. Follow signs for city centre, and from towards the middle, the railway station is clearly marked on plenty of signs. Once at the station follow the public transport directions.

There is a public car park at the station, but this is rather expensive, so if you exit the station in the car, and head towards Morrisons again, and then turn left to the traffic lights, and then turn right, you will find the bus station on the left after about 50 yards. There is much cheaper parking in there, and it is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the station.

The bus station is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the station which is clearly signposted, and there are buses from a wide range of locations to there.
Exit the station, and turn left towards the car park and a roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout, and head towards Morrisons. Then walk left, past a DIY centre. When you reach the traffic lights, turn left and you are on a bridge across the railway. Unfortunately, this is a main road, but you can get nice pictures from either side. Looking north, you can see the station, and looking south, you can see Lidl and a 'Tiles 'r' Us'.

There are toilets on the station, as well as a cafe, and if you exit the station there is Morrisons in front of you, which has the same amenities. There is also a chip shop just up the road from Morrisons,in Commercial Street, called Mr. Chips, it's great!

There is a Travel Inn and plenty of Bed and Breakfasts dotted around.

For trains travelling north (side away from the station), it is better to go all the way over the bridge, and there is a little gap where there are great views of the trains, between a tree and a bush.
