Road directions
From Northampton, head out on the A428. The turning for the village is well signposted. When in the centre of the village, turn into King Street and continue on the B5385. After passing beneath the railway, the road bends to the right. Shortly after, you should see a double gate and a public footpath sign on the right hand side.
Parking
You can just about park a car here without blocking the gates.
Public transport
Long Buckby station is served by two trains an hour from Birmingham to Northampton, hourly continuing to London Euston.
Stagecoach service 96 also operates hourly between Rugby and Northampton and runs along the B5385 between Watford and Long Buckby.
Amenities
There are plenty of pubs and shops in Long Buckby village.

Photographic notes
If you are using ths location PLEASE stick to the public footpath, the farmer has (rightly) moved people off the land when they have trampled his crops.

This shot is still possible but very overgrown.

Photos can be taken from both sides of the line (There is a public footpath which passes under the tracks.) However, this would depend on the light conditions. the best shot to be had is facing North in the afternoon. For this shot, you need to walk diagonally over the small field to the fence. However, no northbound shots can be taken from this point.
