From the A3058 St.Austell to Newquay road drive through the village of Trewoon and you will pass Blackpool China Clay Works on the left of the road and a Bardon Sand Terminal to the right, just after here there is a house on the left just before the turning you require. The road is signed 'Burngullow Lane' and the entrance is somewhat concealed, so drive slowly!!
Parking available both sides of the bridge, but park in tight as tractors form most of the traffic over the bridge!
St.Austell station on the Cornish mainline has a good service and is approximately 2 miles away. An hourly bus service from St.Austell station to Newquay passes the end of Burngullow Lane.
St.Austell being home of 'The Eden Project' has a wide selection of accommodation including a Travelodge.
This location is best for 'up' trains (from Penzance) in the morning along with any traffic coming off the freight branch. In the afternoon light is poor for up trains. Down trains are only photographable in the sun after around 18:00.
There is currently a weekday freight trip that goes on to the branch at about 15:30 which works perfectly for the light.
Occasional noise from nearby farms otherwise very quiet and suited for videographers.
