Road directions
From the M3, Junction 4a: Follow the signs for Fleet. The road curves to the right before reaching a roundabout. Continue straight here and the road will curve to the left and you will see a restaurant, hotel and petrol station on your left. At the roundabout turn right and you will run parallel to the railway for around quarter of a mile. Here you should turn left (signposted Fleet Pond). You will now find yourself on Bramshot Bridge. Turn left and you can park your car here.
Parking
There is a free parking area at the bridge itself where you can usually find a few other cars. It can get rather muddy if it has been raining heavily overnight.
Public transport
Countywide Travel have now been re-branded as 'Fleet Buzz'. It is the same people though so the colours, route number and timetable remains the same. Their hourly route 73 passes the bridge (these buses are yellow and black). The route runs from Fimley Park Hospital to Fleet via Kingsmead (5 minutes walk from Farnborough Main station) and Fleet station itself. You should ask the driver for a ticket to Fleet Road and let them know it is the Fleet Pond bridge that you are wanting to alight at.
Amenities
There are no toilet facilities in the immediate area however Fleet station and town centre is around a 10 minute drive from the bridge. It is Fleet station that you can see when looking West.
When on the bridge you will notice that one side has an iron pipe running alongside it. This is the London side (East), with the other being the country end (West - Fleet station visible in distance). Photographing trains heading towards London is quite tricky in the evenings once the sun starts setting. Trains heading towards London: These trains are fine on the bridge if you want shots looking down-sideways onto them. Alternatively for a more side on view you can walk down the side of the line. Trains heading from London: Since the iron pipe was erected you must now go down the side of the line, however this does allow a fantastic framing with the bridge. Videographers: There is plenty of space to safely set up your equipment without causing any inconvenience to others, or feeling as though you are in the way and having to move to let people pass.
