New Mobile Site
We have just launched a new mobile version of this site - m.trainspots. This page will use your smart device's GPS to loctate you and guide you to locations that are close to your present location.
Location notes
This is a local station on the main line on the edge of Antwerpen.
Railway type and traffic
Highspeed TGV (Thalys), international trains to the Netherlands, local trains and Freight.
Environment
It is a little deserted station, with a few trains stopping.
If you wish to change platforms you will need to use some deep stairs to the subway.
Road directions
From Antwerpen:
  • Take the E19 on from the Hospital Tunnel and N184
  • Continue on the E19 to the Groenendaallaan / N129. Take exit 1 Merksem from the E19
  • Turn right at the Groenendaallaan / N129
  • Destination will be on the right

  • Parking
    You can park your car in the area, but be careful not to leave valuables on show.
    Public transport
    Local trains from Antwerpen and from Essen call here.
    The local train from Roosendaal the Netherlands will alsostop here.
    Tram route number 6 runs under the station from Antwerpen Central station.

    Photographic notes
    This station is suitable for all times of days. Keep in mind that you can stand here for about 1 hour and see no trains. But sometimes you get lucky and trains will passing by a lot. Keep in mind running up and down the stairs to the platforms can be a challenge!
