Location Name:
TS495 - Barmouth

Location Notes:
Mid Wales - The line runs along the coast from Pwllheli in the north to Machynlleth before turning East towards Shrewsbury.

Railway type and traffic
Mostly class 158 DMUs with the occasional freight or enthusiasts special.

TS496 - Blaenau Ffestiniog

Location Notes:
Mid Wales, up in the mountains above Porthmadog.

Mainly DMUs, with the occasional special railtour working.

TS394 - Gobowen

Location Notes:
Gobowen is on the Shrewsbury to Chester line, north of Shrewsbury and close to the market town of Oswestry. The station used to be the junction for a service to Oswestry, though these connections are now provided by buses, despite the line still being intact, though disused. The station has been preserved very well being an excellent example of a Great Western station.

Railway type and traffic
There is usually an hourly local service provided by class 158 units, and increasingly class 175s, though there are a few gaps in the afternoons. There are freight services in the form of Steel workings from Shotton to South Wales and also Timber workings to Chirk to the north have to come to Gobowen to run round before heading back to Warrington. There is a small coal-yard by the station which in 2004 still received coal by rail in HBA hoppers.

TS1113 - Llandanwg (Llanfair)

Location Notes:
Located on the Cambrian Coast Line in Mid Wales, about 2 miles south of Harlech and 10 miles north of Barmouth.

Railway type and traffic
Mostly class 158 DMUs with the occasional freight or enthusiasts special.
For the last few years (2009), there has been a daily (Monday to Friday) Steam special along this line in August.

TS1251 - Llandudno Junction, Queens Road

Location Notes:
A narrow road bridge to the east of Llandudno Junction station on the north wales coast line.

Railway type and traffic
Arriva's 158s operate on the Manchester services along with the 175s, Virgin Voyagers operating services to London and 150s work the Blaenau Ffestiniog trains.
The Valley flasks vary traction from 20s, 37s and 57s.

TS1252 - Llandudno, Maesdu Bridge

Location Notes:
A pavement location on the main road, A546, into Llandudno

Railway type and traffic
Class 150 units operate the line. Although the occasional charter does venture up the line.
There is no freight traffic.

TS393 - Ruabon

Location Notes:
Ruabon is an intermediate station on the line from Chester to Shrewsbury on the English-Welsh border. It used to be the junction for the line to Llangollen. There are aspirations from the preserved Llangollen Railway to reopen to Ruabon.

Railway type and traffic
There is a roughly hourly frequency between Chester and Shrewsbury provided by class 158, and increasingly the 175, units.
Freight comprises of Timber trains to Chirk and Steel trains from Shotton to South Wales.

TS392 - Wrexham General Station

Location Notes:
Wrexham is a fairly large town on the English-Welsh border south of Chester. The station is located on the Chester to Shrewsbury line and also has a platform on the Wrexham Central to Bidston route.

Railway type and traffic
There is an approximately hourly service between Chester and Shrewsbury, usually provided by class 158 units, though class 175s are starting to appear. The Bidston trains are usually class 153s.
There is some freight, principally consisting of Timber trains heading from the Chester direction to Chirk, Steel trains from Shotten on the Bidston line to South Wales, and the occasional freight service from Warrington to Shotton. these trains run round in the loop to the south of the station.
