Group Description
Rail-Gen is the largest mailing list covering the UK's railways and its purpose is to relay advance or current information on RARE and NEWSWORTHY workings to its members.

Important Note: Questions and discussions are not allowed on rail-gen, and neither are after-the-event reports. This is different to some other lists. Because there are 3500+ subscribers to this service, it is very important that this is understood. The guidelines for sending messages to rail-gen are shown at the bottom of every message - please check before sending any messages. One of the reasons for rail-gen's continuing success is that it is monitored closely to keep out spammers and other rubbish. Failure to adhere to the following simple rules could lead to your subscription being terminated. Thanks for your understanding in this, and please always think before posting.
