New Mobile Site
We have just launched a new mobile version of this site - m.trainspots. This page will use your smart device's GPS to loctate you and guide you to locations that are close to your present location.
Location notes
This is the main station of Marseille and it is in the city centre.Its an terminus station and security is tight, so it is better to check in before commencing photography.
Railway type and traffic
Passenger and High speed trains from Brussels /Paris and a direct connection to Barcelona/Madrid
Environment
It is in the inner city, so it quite busy. The underground is situated downstairs.
Beware of pick pockets.
Road directions
Follow the A6 and A7 to the Avenue du G�n�ral Leclerc / G�n�ral Leclerc Avenue in Marseille.
  • Continue to follow G�n�ral Leclerc Avenue..
  • Take the Boulevard Maurice Bourdet and Rue Marcel Sembat to the Avenue Pierre S�mard / Pierre S�mard Avenue.

    There is no station car park but you can pay to park on the streets.
    Public transport
    You can reach this station by rail from all parts of France. There is also an underground, where you can buy a day ticket.

    Photographic notes
    The station has a large canopy over the western end of the platforms but the eastern ends are open. Security is tight and the platform will be closed prior to a trains depart, so you may be ask to leave the platform. Best to check in with security before you start.
