Road directions
From the A40 Gloucester bypass, head west towards Ross-on-Wye. After the A417 roundabout, there is now a set if traffic lights at the lane entrance off the main road / dual carriageway. This also makes it easier when leaving as the lights let you cross the dual carriageway to head back into Gloucester. However if you are travelling along the A40 in an easterly direction there is no right turn so you will have to go to the roundabout and turn around.
Parking
Parking used to be easy and right by the crossing, however a change of land ownership has curtailed this and it is no longer possible to park here. You will need to use the nearby pub car park and walk, watch for time constraints.
Public transport
A Stagecoach bus from Gloucester to Chepstow or Cinderford would drop you here.
Amenities
There is a Beefeater type pub on the opposite side of the A40.
Accommodation
Central Gloucester has a wide range of accommodation and is only around a mile away.
Line runs pretty much east to west, and shots can be had from either side of the line. There will be some traffic noise from nearby A40. Also trains can really creep up on you here for some reason, so keep your eyes peeled.
