Road directions
From the M5, Junction 12:
Head along the B4008 until you reach the Macdonald's roundabout take the 3rd exit (A38 dual carriage way) at Waterwells round about take the 2nd left to pass the Holiday Inn on your left. At the next roundabout go straight ahead onto Waterwells drive with the police station on your left. drive for about 1/4 of a mile. At the next roundabout take the 1st left the road then becomes Naas Lane. Follow the road road until you pass the gates of the Car importers, there is a small layby on the left hand side which can take 2/3 cars. At the layby there is a path which leads up to the crossing.
Parking
Just passed the car importers is a small lay-by where you can park the car and then follow a small footpath up to the crossing.
Public transport
Take the Number 12 bus from Gloucester to Waterwells Park and Ride take a left out of the Park and Ride and then a right on to Naas Lane walk for 1/4 mile till you get to the car importers, 300 yards beyond is a small footpath this take you to the crossing.

Nearest Facilities are:
McDonalds at Hardwicke (1.5 miles away) and Tesco also (1.5 miles away) on the B4008 at Quedgeley.

Photographic notes
Best place to stand is on the Eastern side on the crossing opposite the old siding this gives good 2 miles viability in both directions. Light can be tricky photographing northbound trains at sunset due to the sun being in your lens.
