To get to this location follow the A9 north from Perth to the Dalwhinnie turn off. From here follow the road into the village passing the 'Highlander' petrol station. You will then come to Station Road, turn left here and follow it up to the school where you will find Ben Alder Road. Take a left along this road and you will find ample parking along side the line.
There is ample parking beside line.
There is a restaurant in the centre of the village and also a petrol station. But the nearest facilities would be Aviemore a further 30 miles north.
This shot is possible morning and evening as you can take the shot from both side of the crossing. There is nothing around to cast shadows. The A9 is nearby but should not cause any audio problems for videographers.
