Road directions
The B2139 runs east from a junction with the A29 and after crossing the river and passing under the railway bridge, the station entrance is immediately to the right, is signposted but is not obvious. If you are bending left here you have gone a few yards too far.
Parking
There is a car park for the Museum and the Station but charges apply.
Public transport
Southern services to and from Portsmouth on the train and being a main line is easy from north and south.
Compass bus runs a service 73 from Pulborough to Storrington calling at Amberley but there are only a few each day.
Amenities
There are no toilets on the station but there is a least one pub visible from the footbridge which crosses the line at the station.
Accommodation
There is accommodation in Amberley.
Railway Gen Group
South East Gen
Photographic notes
The station lies within a chalk cutting and light can be poorish on a cloudy day. I think it is unlikely that the rising gradient towards the station receives much sunlight except midday in summer.
Open country lies to the north if you are shooting in that direction and the light is much better. The platform ends are best for taking photos.
