Road directions
Like a lot of London locations travelling by car isn't recommended, please try to park outside London and travel in by public transport! If you're determined to drive however, then you can access the area from Essex using the A12 trunk road and A118 and from Central London using the A11 then A118.
Parking
No car parks at either Stratford International or Regional stations, the nearest being in Stratford's Great Eastern Road.
Public transport
Definitely a better option for this location, with direct rail links on HS1 from London St Pancras and Kent, and from most of Essex and East Anglia (as well as London Liverpool Street) into Stratford Regional station, which is only a short DLR trip away from International. Buses from most parts of London serve Stratford, as well as Underground services.
At the time of writing travel cards and Oyster cards are not valid to use on HS1 services between St Pancras and Stratford.
Amenities
Toilets and food outlets on the station, with most other retail requirements served by the massive Westfield shopping centre, which is adjacent to the station.
Accommodation
Plenty of accommodation in Stratford, as well as the rest of London!
If you can live with the restricted amount of traction, then this is a decent station for photographers and videographers, with the starkly modern architecture of the station providing an urbane backdrop. Noise levels for videos are fine, although the passengers can sometimes get in the way, or make untoward noises! The rising incline on the western end of the station makes for an interesting picture if you have a powerful zoom.
