From the M3, Junction 7 northbound or 8 southbound:
Take the A30 then A303 south and from the A303 follow the signposted route to the station.

The station car park is secure, however it costs £3.50 per day.

It has an hourly service by train from Waterloo or Portsmouth/Southampton.

No toilets on the station, but there is a good pub/restaurant over the road.

The station is totally open, so you can get shots of both running lines from many different viewpoints.
To the east of the station is a yard. This is rarely used but does from time to time get used for long term storage or temporary holding of failures.
