From the M5, junction 18:
Following signs for Bristol City FC. (A4). This will take you under the Clifton Suspension Bridge. After passing under the bridge keep following the signs for BCFC. This will take you over Bristol Docks and the River Avon. As you approach the football ground stay on the A3029 Winterstoke Road. Go across three roundabouts and as the road starts to go uphill the turning for South Liberty Lane is on the right, just past the garage. This junction is very busy. Be Careful!
Follow South Liberty Lane across one railway bridge and under another. The path to the footbridge is on the left near the big Securicor depot. It is just two fences close to each other with a Footpath sign pointing towards the railway. Keep your eyes peeled.

The estate is busy during weekdays although parking is usually possible. If none is visible turn into one of the residential roads and walk back to the bridge.

There are vans selling food dotted about the trading estate. No toilets or pubs. Some shops on the nearby Ashton Drive.

Wiltshire and Avon Gen

Good views in both directions along the mainline. Those coming from the Bristol direction can be seen for quite some distance so would be good for videographers wanting a 'long shot'.
