Road directions
From the M32, Junction 2:
Take what is basically a right onto Muller Road. (this is an enormous and very busy roundabout, be careful!) Follow Muller Road up the hill, down the other side and under the railway bridge. Pass the bus depot which is on the right hand side and turn right at the next set of traffic lights into Downend Road. Follow Downend Road to it's end where the road joins Dovercourt Road on a left hand bend and stay on Dovercourt Road. Look for a rank of shops on the right hand side opposite Elmore Road. The footpath to the bridge starts just past this rank of shops.
Parking
Plenty of parking on Dovercourt Road. The car will be safe, but as usual you should make sure no valuables are visible.
Amenities
No toilets. A rank of shops on Dovercourt Road including a chip shop.

Photographic notes
Please note: As of September 2016 this foot bridge has been demolished and is no longer available.
A great view south which is down a steep gradient and has an S-bend at the bottom. This is particularly good for those that have good telephoto lenses and videographers and the bridge is a favourite spot for capturing steam specials as they struggle up Ashley Hill.

The view north is obscured by bridges but still offers some good opportunities.

Edit to the existing information:
A cage has been put over this footbridge now, which makes photographing from it a lot more difficult. There are shots from the 2 road bridges heading towards Filton Abbey Wood though.
