Road directions
From the Edinburgh city by-pass (A720):
Take the A71 (Kilmarnock) road. Then take the second road on the left and the station is on the right, further up the road. (The first turn off is marked Heriott Watt university).

Station car park, free parking.
Public transport
Scotrail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow central, via Shotts.
Amenities
Unstaffed station, no toilets. A few shops including bakers can be found in Currie, a few minutes drive away.

Photographic notes
Best positioning is on platform 1 (Glasgow bound platform), where the sun is more or less 'side on' for most of the day. Usually quiet enough for videographers.
