Heading out of Basingstoke towards Oakley you pass the leisure park on your right. At the next roundabout you have two options:
1) Turn right and follow the road. You will pass under the railway after about 500 yards. Straight across the next roundabout and you will see on-road parking on your side of the road. Once parked, walk up the side of the church hall on a signed footpath. Follow the footpath and you will come to a bridge over the railway on top of the junction.
2) Turn left at the roundabout and follow the road. Straight across the next 2 roundabouts (close together) until you reach a set of traffic lights. Turn right and follow the road. You will come to an area on the left of the road just before you pass under the railway where you can park (on your right). Go up the field to the overbridge, or cross over the road and walk alongside the railway to the flyover.
See directions. Both areas very safe, although the off road parking area can get very muddy in damp conditions.
Number 8,76 and 86 bus to and from Andover and Basingstoke give a 15 minute frequency to the location. Alight at the church immediately under the railway.
None at the location, it is open fields.
The line runs east to west so tno problems with the sun in either direction at any times of day.
