Road directions
From the M74, Junction 14:
Take the second exit from the roundabout onto the A702. At the T junction turn left onto the B7076 signposted Crawford and Abington. After about one mile turn right onto an unclassified road signposted Crawford, continue through the village until you see a children's playground on your right. Turn right here down a small dead end road with the football pitch on your left.
Parking
Ample parking at the end of the dead end road, or in the large village car park just across the main road.
Public transport
Bus services serve the village. Follow the road directions on foot to gain the vantage point.
Amenities
There are village shops and public toilets are available, along with Abington Services on the nearby motorway.
Accommodation
Bed and Breakfast available in Crawford and the services in Abington offer accommodation.

Photographic notes
Better in the afternoon when the light has moved behind you. There is little warning of oncoming trains for videographers but with the good old fashioned still camera there is ample time to compose and shoot. If using a tripod be wary that something does not come the otherway!
