Taking the A548 west from Fflint, after passing Mostyn Docks the road returns to a dual-carriageway there is a turning on the left signposted Ffynnongroyw. The footbridge is on the right opposite this road.
By turning left then immediately right here you should be able to park on the left on the road leading into the village.
Arriva services 11/11A operate every 30 minutes (2 hourly on Sundays) between Chester, Fflint, Prestatyn and Rhyl and pass the footbridge.
There are a few small shops in Ffynnongroyw village.
The light in a morning favours trains heading towards Chester though you have to take shots from the seaward side of the footbridge and so get the main road in shot. Dinnertime to early afternoon, the direction of trains is the same but with the bay as a background, late afternoon trains from Chester are best.
