Talacre is well signposted off the A548 between Fflint and Prestatyn. The road to the beach passes over the railway.
There is a track to the right just before the road climbs over the railway bridge with a large enough area to leave your car.
There is a half hourly bus service, route 11/11A, along the main road linking Prestatyn with Fflint and Chester. There is also a summer only open-top service to Talacre Beach from Prestatyn which passes over the bridge.
There are pubs along the main road and some facilities at Talacre, but none near the bridge.
Light is best in a morning for trains heading east towards Chester. Pictures can be taken of trains in the opposite direction as they pass the signal box but due to the modern road bridge beyond are poor.
