Photographic notes
There are plenty of photographic locations along this section of line with the light generally being best for eastbound trains in the morning and westbound in the afternoon. There is a footbridge immediately east of the station giving good views of the semaphore signals and also further to the east is a small foot crossing leading to one of the caravan parks.
Both of these can be reached from the sea-wall. To the west there is a further road bridge, and about a mile past that a good bridge at Hen Wrych. This is reached either by a 20 minute walk along the front. By car return to Abergele town and turn right onto the A547 towards Llanddulas. After leaving the town there is a castle on the left and half way along its perimeter wall there is a gate house with a lay-by opposite. The path crossing the bridge leads from this lay-by and over the A55 which is adjoining the line at this point. Bus service 12 stops by the lay-by.
