Come off the A66 onto the B6542 (Signposted Appleby) The station is signposted off this road.
As well as the station car park there are few parking restrictions in the local streets. Please be sensitive to residents when parking.
There is a train roughly every 2 hours in each direction to Leeds and Carlisle.
There are plenty of shops and tourist facilities in the village, which is a few minutes walk away. The return to the station is up a hill. Details of the station facilities can be found
here.
The station is one of the high points in the village of Appleby, so there is little to throw shadows across the north to south facing tracks .There is a small hill to the south of the station providing some height against subjects, as well as the station footbridge. There are semaphore signals along the line, so you get a few minutes notice before a train arrives.
