Follow signs to Great Yarmouth, the location is off a lay by just before you enter the town.
If approaching on the A12 from the south continue all the way through Great Yarmouth, crossing over the river bridge. At the roundabout take the first exit (left) and continue down the A47. You will see the railway line on your left. After about 3/4 of a mile you will see the footpath lay by.
Park in the lay by and walk down the path to the location.
There is a large Asda supermarket about 10 minutes walk from the location. You can either follow the footpath round the marshes to the store, or walk back up to the road and follow that round for a slightly less muddy route.
Great Yarmouth is a prime Norfolk holiday destination, there will be numerous hotels, b&bs in the town.
The location is an embankment that is there to strengthen the bank against the tide. You are raised up well above 'platform' height here. Trains heading towards Norwich are heading south west so light would favour afternoon shots. For workings heading into Great Yarmouth a very early morning view will catch the light.
You will also see workings heading via Acle, but the location is too close to the junction for you to change to that line in time to get a close shot.
