The nearest road is Derby road between Nottingham and Derby, avoiding the A52, get to Bramcote Island, then head west along Derby road towards Stapleford. A short way after the cross roads, turn right into Sandiacre Road, just past the shops on the right. Near an ATS building.
Quiet parking in Sandiacre Road.
There is the Barton Rainbow 4 bus from Derby to Nottingham. Also the Barton Route 15 from Ilkeston to Sawley which goes past Long Eaton station.
There are public toilet nearby, but not close. These are only open in Shopping times. There are two pubs near by.
Best to photograph southbound trains in the morning, and northbound trains in the afternoon. Line speed here is not high, some north bound freight will be accelerating after leaving Toton yards.
