There is a station car park opposite the platforms.
Central trains and
Wessex trains serve Ashchurch Station but with a minimal service.
Turn right out of the station car park and go over an old railway bridge go straight over the little roundabout 200 yards from the bridge. You then go parallel with the railway line for a little bit and turn left and then left again and the chip shop is on your right, next door to a little corner shop.
To get to the Newsagents or post office etc, turn back round and head back towards the main road. Turn left and follow the road round a little bend and the Post Office and a row of shops are on your left.
In Tewkesbury there are a couple of Hotels.
The Royal Hop Pole and
The Bell HotelThe line runs directly north to south so will be best for southbound workings for most of the day. You get plenty of notice as there is a 4 mile straight stretch. The best places for videoing and potographing are on the platform ends and on the bridge.
