From Dingwall take the A834 road towards Strathpeffer. You will leave Dingwall and then take the first road on the right and follow that road up to a farm then turn left and it is in front of you.
You can also enter if you carry on towards Strathpeffer and turn right after the Railway Bridge towards Fodderty House then follow the road round and it is again in front of you with a slightly further walk but more room to park.
Parking for both routes are on Grass verges but I recommend the Fodderty House entrance as there is a bigger space to park.
To get to this location by Public Transport take the Stagecoach Service 27 from Inverness Bus Station (Stance 5) and ask for Fodderty. The fare is, currently Jan 06, £3.20 for a Single and £6.10 for a return. Take the directions for the Road entrance via Fodderty House once you get off the bus at Fodderty Grave Yard.
The nearest facilities are Dingwall. So be prepared when going to this location.
The location has an advantage as it is is located just after a 20mph restriction for the crossing on the Dingwall-Contin road, so there is plenty of noise after a pair of tractors come up.
