Road directions
The location is directly off the A30 but due to it being a dual carriageway you need to be on the westbound side of the road, just after you pass Ponsandane depot you will see a small shed belonging to a local coach company, turn left immediately after you pass it and there is a small area you can pull into.
Parking
The rough ground belongs to the coach company, but so long as you put it well out the way they should not mind.
Public transport
Travel to Penzance station by train or bus.
From the bus station (right next to the station):
Walk along the row of stops and then go through the gap in the sea wall onto the coastal path, turn left and follow if all the way round until you reach the footbridge. This should take 15 to 20 minutes walk, you can take photographs from this path but there is a large fence so you will need a stepladder.
Amenities
Market Jew Street next to the station has a number of shops and takeaways (open later/Sundays during the 'tourist season') as well as public toilets.
Accommodation
There are dozens of Bed and Breakfasts and Hotels in the nearby area.
Railway Gen Group
South West Rail Gen
Photographic notes
The line is aligned East-West so you can shoot trains all day from the South (seaside) Side of the line, although the 'wrong side' cloudy shot is good too. Trains to/from Penzance use the track adjacent to the sea wall and trains to/from the carriage sidings use the next track over. Video's would be quite impressive as you could follow trains from the Station round the coast, but there is a busy road nearby which might cause noise problems
