Road directions
From Bristol Parkway:
Head south onto the A4174 and turn left. Pass underneath the M32 at Junction 1. At the next roundabout bear left, running paralell to the M4 motorway. At the next roundabout head left on the A432 passing over the motorway. Then under the railway at Coalpit Heath but take the first right back to the railway. Immediately after passing under the rail bridge turn left up a lane. Carry on at the top of the hill, do not turn right. Parking is to the left here. Then walk to the left past the old Ram Hill colliery site to the footbridge.
Parking
There is limited parking, as safe as anywhere surrounded by a few old properties.
Public transport
Local buses from either First Badgerline or The South Gloucestershire Bus Co. serve the area.
Amenities
No toilets as you are in the countryside. However in nearby Coalpit Heath there are plenty of pubs, some shops etc
Railway Gen Group
Wiltshire and Avon Gen
Photographic notes
The line runs East to West. Their are trees to both sides of the line but these only obstruct a sunny side picture of trains approaching from the East. All other shots are fine.
