| Gatwick Airport footbridge Written by Tony Rispoli - 07 Aug 2006 |
A new mobile site has been ceated. Whilst this page will remain you may find
Trainspots mobile better suited to a smart phone.
M23 from Brighton or London and you will find the Airport well sign-posted! However I suggest you drive to Horley and take a train 1 stop.
Best to park at Horley and take a train to the airport unless you want to pay Airport parking charges.
Go to Gatwick Airport station, enter the terminal and leave the airport turning to your right. When you reach the end of the terminal buildings you will see a car rental facility, walk through their car park and you will see a footpath sign, this will lead to the bridge.
A very quiet footbridge, nobody ever uses it!! You can video, shoot in both directions with no problems.
The line is north south facing so it will favour southbound shots during most of the day. You may find you get some noise from the odd aircraft passing overhead.
